1. Introduction

The FaSoSoLa Music School app (the "App") is operated by Fasosola Music School Pte. Ltd. ("we", "our", "us"), a music school in Singapore offering lessons at our Clementi studio and at students' homes. The App is a private app for the parents/guardians, teachers and staff of FaSoSoLa Music School. Accounts are created by the school for enrolled families and teachers; the App is not open for public sign-up.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

2. Personal Data We Collect

About parents/guardians, teachers and staff:

• Name, email address and phone number
• Login details
• Messages sent through the in-app chat

About students (provided by parents/guardians and the school, not by students themselves):

• Name, age, instrument and level
• Enrolment details, lesson schedule and lesson records
• Lesson feedback, progress notes, ratings and growth tags written by teachers
• Photos uploaded by teachers as part of lesson feedback, and links to short videos

We do not collect home addresses, location data, payment information or your phone contacts through the App. We do not show advertising and do not use third-party analytics or tracking.

3. How We Use Personal Data

• To run music lessons and manage enrolments and schedules
• To let parents/guardians follow their own child's lessons and progress
• To allow communication between parents/guardians, teachers and the school
• To send notifications about new lesson feedback, messages and school announcements (you can turn notifications off in your device settings)
• To manage accounts and respond to your requests
• To keep the App secure and to meet our legal obligations

4. Who Can See Your Data

• Parents/guardians can see only their own children's information.
• Teachers can see only the students assigned to them. Teachers do not see parents' phone numbers.
• School administrators can see all records in order to run the school. Chat messages can be read by the school for safety and record-keeping.

5. Sharing of Personal Data

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share personal data only:

• With service providers who host and operate the App on our behalf, including our app platform provider. Data may be stored on servers outside Singapore; we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.
• When required by law.

6. Photos and Videos

Photos and video links are shared only by teachers, as part of lesson feedback, with the consent of parents/guardians. Teachers are instructed not to include other students' faces. Parents/guardians may ask us at any time to remove a photo or video of their child.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal data for as long as the student is enrolled or the account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal or business purposes. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Your Rights

You may ask to access or correct your personal data or your child's data, withdraw your consent, or delete your account and data, by emailing fasosolams@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

The App is used by adults (parents/guardians, teachers and staff). Students do not have accounts and do not use the App. Student information is provided by parents/guardians and the school, and is visible only to the child's parents/guardians, assigned teacher and school administrators.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Access to the App requires a login.

11. Third-Party Links

Lesson feedback may include links to external websites or videos (for example, YouTube or Google Drive). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date.
